Content Services (CS)-to-P8 Content Manager (CM) Migration Utilities
Features: » Highly scalable – multiple worker processes can be run as necessary, depending on the volume of documents to be migrated. » Extensive migration tracking and statistics database. » Translation of embedded CS hyperlinks embedded in MS Word and Excel documents to Workplace hyperlinks pointing to the migrated documents. » Automatic redirection of Content Services hyperlinks – Our IDM Web Services Links Redirector automatically redirects users to the converted Content Manager document in FileNet P8 Workplace( or XT). This is useful when you have external documents and emails that are still referencing Web Services links to CS documents. » The Conversion Mapping Tool allows for renaming high level object names that would be desirable to modify as part of the conversion. The mapping tool also stores parameters, which do not have a direct correlation between Content Services and Content Manager. » It may be desirable to map (Rename) old Content Services Security Groups to new names of LDAP/Active Directory groups used by Content Manager. System Level parameters required for the conversion are configurable via the mapping tool (Such as Domains and Objectstores). |
» The Document Lookup Tool allows documents to be searched by either the Content Services Library and Item ID or the Content Manager Domain\Objectstore\Document ID (GUID). This provides the ability to cross-reference converted documents using either the source or the target object names. » The Reconciliation and Exception Reports indicate the total number of input documents, the total number of migrated documents and the number of exceptions encountered.. » For each conversion run, an exception report provides the Content Services Library and Item ID Content Manager Domain\Objectstore\GUID (If created) and error encountered. A report of resolved and unresolved exceptions is also available. This report is inclusive of all conversion runs. » Built on a flexible framework, additional source or target repositories can be substituted. The export component for source repositories is interchangeable as is the import component for target repositories. An optional export component for Image Services allows the same framework to be used for multiple conversion efforts. Other target repositories such as SharePoint can be migrated to by substituting the import component. Return to Products page |
